Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery)
The appearance of your eyelids can have a serious impact on the overall look of your face. Unfortunately, the area around the eyes is often one of the first to exhibit signs of aging. Sagging upper eyelids and bags beneath the eyes can make you appear old beyond your years. Blepharoplasty is performed to address the drooping skin in both locations. In blepharoplasty, the fat that causes your eyelids to droop is removed; in some cases muscle and skin tissue are also removed. The surgery is performed through incisions that are placed inside the eyelids or in the creases of the eyelids, so there is no noticeable scarring whatsoever. Dr. Sergio Soberanes will provide detailed recovery instructions so that patients can heal as fast and as comfortably as possible. Most patients are able to return to work within ten days of the procedure.
