Vaginal Reconstruction and Rejuvenation
Many different factors can adversely affect a woman’s vaginal sensitivity and appearance. Today, more and more women who experience these conditions are choosing to undergo vaginal reconstruction, also known as vaginoplasty. Vaginoplasty is a standard gynecologic procedure that reduces the diameter of the vaginal vault and the size of the pelvic floor, ultimately creating a smaller vagina and stronger vaginal muscles.
For some women, vaginoplasty is a matter of restoring functionality and feeling to the vaginal region. Childbirth and aging cause the vaginal muscles to permanently stretch and the vaginal vault to increase in diameter.
